Dr Christina Mansour
Counselling Psychologist
Dr Christina Mansour is a Counselling Psychologist registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS). She completed her Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at the University of East London and has seven years of clinical experience spanning private practice, the NHS, and charity services.
Christina has worked extensively with adults from diverse backgrounds and has developed significant expertise in PTSD, complex trauma, domestic abuse, honour-based violence, depression, anxiety, and mood-related difficulties. She has also gained valuable experience in NHS inpatient services, particularly in the treatment of eating disorders.
Her practice is integrative and tailored to each individual, drawing on models including CBT, psychodynamic, attachment-based, compassion-focused, person-centred, and existential therapies. Christina sees therapy as more than symptom management: she understands psychological difficulties as rooted in patterns of experience, often outside of awareness, that shape how people see themselves and relate to others. By working collaboratively within a reflective therapeutic relationship, she helps clients bring these patterns into awareness, making space for relief from distress as well as for greater self-understanding, emotional freedom, and the capacity to build more fulfilling relationships.
Christina is committed to providing psychotherapy that is sensitive to cultural and identity-related issues. Her doctoral research explored trauma and embodiment, and she continues to be interested in the mind–body connection and how it informs the therapeutic process.
Christina accumulated years of experience and expertise in delivering high-quality psychological therapy for a broad range of difficulties related to:
