I have had an extremely positive experience with Resilient Wellbeing Clinic. Seeking out therapy can be a daunting experience, particularly when having to discuss and revisit sensitive personal issues over the phone with a stranger. I found Lara to be incredibly friendly, empathetic and made me feel comfortable in the application process – particularly in comparison to other providers I had contacted. This was truly appreciated.

In terms of the therapy itself, Dr Moore was brilliant. I found him to be very approachable and non-judgemental. I quickly developed a rapport with him. Talking to him did not feel too formal, rather I felt like I was talking to a friend, and even at times, we shared laughs together. This made me feel very comfortable and happy to really open up.

Dr Moore was attentive and thoughtful. Within the first few sessions, we were able to build a picture of my emotions and some of the core beliefs I have of myself, resulting from earlier experiences which contributed to my anxieties and some of the unhelpful thought cycles I found myself in. I would not be able to make those connections without him.

From there – we were able to dig into how some of those core beliefs and earlier experiences were impacting me in the present. He helped me recognize some of unhelpful thought patterns that I was regularly entering. Having identified the patterns, we could then look at how to deal with them.

Dr Moore provided an array of suggestions and mechanisms to help me cope with difficult thoughts. These were practical and effective. Before therapy – I would find that when I had an unpleasant thought – I would catastrophise. I would have an anxious thought – and either see the thought as being indicative of me being a bad person – or visualise the worst possible outcome and see that as being likely. This would cause me to find myself worrying. I would spend entire days and even nights, in a state of worry. The mechanisms that Dr Moore introduced me to have allowed me to view my thoughts differently, as only thoughts, rather than an indication of reality. There is no doubt that I will continue to use these mechanisms for the rest of my life.

Now, when I have a difficult thought, I am able to essentially nip it in the bud rather than allow it to get out of control. I find periods of anxiety after having a distressing thought are very brief, rather than constant like they were before.

I leave therapy with far more confidence and self-compassion. Before therapy, I would find myself in what felt like a constant state of worry. Now I am happy and content. Spouts of anxiety are brief, evidenced by the difference in results to the questionnaires I completed at the start of therapy, compared to my results at completion

From the start to the end, in terms of the therapy itself as well as the organisational side, I have had nothing but a positive experience with Resilient Wellbeing Clinic.

Resilient wellbeing are honestly amazing. I found them after being at one of the lowest points of my life after my parents divorce and my dad leaving that left me with anxiety and crippling ocd and terrible mental health and Marina was truly amazing and used both compassion therapy and ERP with me which helped me piece together my life and meant I could stay at uni as well as making me stable enough to come off sertraline completely.

The tools she has given me have meant I was able to get back the parts of my life I had been neglecting or unable to manage and meant I was able to go into a loving relationship and manage my ocd and anxiety when I have flair ups.

If you are considering Resilient Wellbeing for therapy, they are amazing and have such caring and highly qualified people !!!
