Get Your Sessions Covered By your AXA Health insurance
Contact us to schedule an initial free consultation with our clinical director so that we can help you assess your needs and match you with the best-suited therapist to support you in overcoming your unique difficulties. At the consultation, please let us know that you want to use your AXA Health cover to fund your treatment.
After your initial consultation with us, contact your AXA Health insurance and let them know that you wish to use your policy to see the psychologist we have assigned to you and provide the name of your psychologist.
Once AXA Health has approved the sessions, they will authorise a set number of sessions initially (usually 10 sessions).
They will provide you with an authorisation code.
When you book your assessment session through our client portal, which we will give you access to, in the intake form, you will be asked to provide the following details concerning your insurance cover:
Your policy number
The authorisation code
The number of sessions authorised by your health insurance provider
If you feel that you need further sessions and agree with your psychologist to continue with the treatment (before the initially approved sessions are fully used), you will need to contact AXA Health over the phone and ask them to authorise additional sessions. AXA will require a written report on the progress of your therapy. Your psychologist will be happy to provide such a report and send it to AXA for approval.
Please note that insurance providers do not cover the fees of missed sessions, and you are responsible for paying for missed/cancelled or rescheduled sessions where you didn’t give us at least 48 hours’ notice. These will be invoiced to you directly and must be paid on receipt.
Why Is It Important To Reach Out To AXA Health and Ask To Cover Your Sessions?
Life can be challenging, and from time to time, we might find ourselves struggling. Talking therapy can help you understand and manage your difficulties. You might suffer as a consequence of your past experiences, upbringing, work stress, relationships, and the weight of expectations from the people in your life or imposed by society. This might make you feel disconnected from everything and everyone.
Counselling and psychotherapy can help you understand what is bothering you or causing you distress or upset, even when there isn’t an obvious cause or reason. Developing a deeper awareness of your feelings, patterns of behaviour and your way of relating to other people can help you understand what could be changed and help you feel more in control of your emotions, developing a closer and more authentic relationship with yourself and others.
We offer a range of therapeutic modalities, as not one approach works for everyone.
We offer evidence-based therapies ranging from CBT therapy and third-wave approaches such as ACT and CFT therapy, usually described as short/medium-term approaches, to person-centred therapy and psychodynamic therapy, traditionally characterised as medium/longer-term approaches. The clinical work, thus its duration, will always be tailored to your unique needs and therapeutic goals.
